Performance

The rolling road results shows a healthy 347BHP/325WHP. The PAR drivetrain is very strong and launches the car from the start, although driving smoothly in gear 1 and 2 is rather challenging. The boost currently set at modest 1.3bar, can certainly achieve 400bhp range if up'ed but perhaps a change to a HKS head gasket and internals would make for reliability beyond this range.

Overall, an exhilarating experience for weekend driving.

Handling

Before the turbo upgrade, this was quite potent on the roads with the T28R on. Although it suffered initial traction issues and some serious torque steer, once going it was not long before it started flying and felt well planted on the DAIYAMA coilovers.

Changing the shoes from 15" stock alloys to 18" Kei-Racing INOX RSS alloys on Yokohama Parada rubbers; it opened up a wealth of cornering grip. The car handled as if it were on rails, amazingly comfortable. Recently, I've had to change the the alloys for Rota Subzeros in order to clear the big brake calipers.
Braking has now more of an assured feeling.

With the TEIN Super Streets and every possible Whiteline suspension product available working together with the new drivetrain system, the poise and power handling is much improved with better predictability.

Style

The only external bling, so to speak, was reserved for the wheels. Everything else is sedated, smoothing details where lines would become more clean.

Oh and a cheeky front mount intercooler hides behind the front spoiler.

To the passers-by, it is seen as an ordinary family car. I've now matt blackened the FMIC and oil cooler which helps its understated looks.
