At age of 57 I've wanted one of these since I admired the efforts to produce, and race, these at Bathurst during the `80's. Sure they are old and very moody, but Ive tried to maintain the originality of THIS car, except for the rear spoiler. I added that purely for aesthetics to break up that BIG square rear, although the original wing raised up 150mm also does the same job.

I love simply driving it, mainly because so many folk have R32-33-34 and these examples are somewhat overshadowed, as are DR30's, as the developement of the RB engines. This still has the original REDTOP, RB25 turbo (not an easy fit-up), Bosch 040 (with relay), plumb-back BOV, r/rate pressure reg, HKS PFC F-Con, remote filter & oil cooler under fr rt guard, adjustable ex  cam gear (+ 4deg), Kings springs & Monroe shocks, Ewing 3 piece wheels+ Goodyear Eagles.

Interior is dead stock + Sony sound system.

Bought the car as a basket case in a million pieces and took 2 1/2 years to rebuild it .. with NO service manual.

A truly great little vehicle.

Performance

Good, not great.  Suits my purpose for touring Australia's great expanse.

Handling

Interesting to say the least. With the 4 wheel steer, it great for touring ... but push it HARD and that same rear steer will kill you if you have to brake, or back off, going through down-hill corners, or over sharp fast crests !!!!!

Style

VERY Japanese. But it fills my garage extremely well.

Will be awesome once it's a touch lower.
