Jeong responded on Sunday, 21st September 2008
yeah! Im thinking of upgrade mine tooo!!! They are just helpless.. Can you share us more about your brakes? Havnt seen any makers hand on zc21s... whats the spec and how much does it cost to you? and How's the performance? Cheers!!
beni responded on Friday, 26th September 2008
how much you buy unicip Q????
please tell me
darrylchiew responded on Friday, 3rd October 2008
Hey MTi, sorry to take so long to reply (same goes to everyone who responded)...

Brakes are from Wilwood, needed to have bracket customized from a workshop in Singapore. Decent street brakes with good stopping power and depressing the brake pedals doesn't throw my head out from my shoulders so that is great as well.

The cost is definitely reasonable, it cost me about 1700 SGD (which is about 1200 USD) but comes with 2 x 2-piece Wilwood rotors (slotted and drilled), 2 x Wilwood calipers and 2 x OEM front steel brake hoses.

I would think the price has drop but that's for Singapore...

Cheers mates,

darryl

Hi Beni, Unichip with install and tuning cost about 1300 SGD (about 900 USD)... not bad feel and with dyno chart showing the gains. TCF = 1.15 but reading some forums, probably better to tune with TCF = 1.0 assuming no loss so the figures are not compensated for transmission loss.
Map responded on Monday, 5th January 2009
Nice job! I need your brake :) did you have a link for your workshop in singapore?
darrylchiew responded on Thursday, 8th January 2009
hey Map, the Singapore distributor for Wilwood kit can be found online @ www.driven.com.sg and they will hook you up with the workshop located at AMK Autopoint 4th floor.
HAV 32C Swift responded on Tuesday, 27th January 2009
G'day mate, where did you get your front grill sets from? and how much did you pay? Its a beaut swift man very nice, I love your wilwood brakes.
darrylchiew responded on Thursday, 29th January 2009
G'day mate to you too... top grille can be bought from Nengun but please check for part number since i understand for facelifted Swift the shape is different... as for bottom, it is gotten from a local shop in Singapore. Try visiting www.swiftclubsg.com to see many more locally done up Swifts.
HAV 32C Swift responded on Tuesday, 3rd February 2009

Map responded on Sunday, 29th March 2009
hey darrylchiew!
Send me an email address, i'll answer for you in privat mail...
thx
Map responded on Sunday, 29th March 2009
Maybe you know what is the part number for you wilwood brake calippers?
Thx :)
darrylchiew responded on Wednesday, 8th April 2009
Sorry Map, i only know it's wilwood billet dynalite calipers, i do not have the part # unfortunately. it's not a direct bolt on kit for our suzie coz i need a local workshop to fabricate the caliper brackets for me.
Map responded on Friday, 15th May 2009
Hi there!
I know its not an bolt on brake kit, just i would like to know the part# for first step... Maybe can you ask me from your costumer?
Thanks again!
archbuko responded on Monday, 25th May 2009
hello, nice ride! just wanted to know if the unichip did a lot of good. how much rpm did you get after? thank you!
darrylchiew responded on Wednesday, 24th June 2009
Thanks Archbuko, Unichip did not remove rev limit but it did make the ride more lively since i can feel better torque but i guess all mods have to come together so it's tuff to attribute to just the piggyback chip but dyno chart shows the diff.
emilio responded on Tuesday, 1st September 2009
nice swift. where did you bought that black thing on your rear bumper (4th pic)??.
don't know how to call it.
darrylchiew responded on Wednesday, 2nd September 2009
Hi emilio

i believe that black thing is call the rear diffuser and i got it in Singapore. You can try if you are importing it from this website: http://www.fei-design.com/main.html

Hi Darryl,

nice ride bro! how's the performance of the ignite rev? Is it worth the investment? thanks!
darrylchiew responded on Tuesday, 9th February 2010
@junjun, u can also try HKS intake, it has aluminium covers, else R's also has this and sold on this website.

@Carlog, i didnt do a dyno on this but it felt alrite and i am using it with a colder spark plug
DjRS responded on Wednesday, 17th February 2010
hi darrylchiew,

Love your car mate, it's Awesome!!
I have some problems with the stopping power of my 1.5 and i saw that you have the willwood calipers mount. Can you send to me the measure of the custom bracket to fit the caliper? i'm a bit lost with that point...

Thanks a lot,
Pablo.
darrylchiew responded on Tuesday, 1st June 2010
hey @pablo, since my wilwood is sold off, my custom brackets are still sitting in my storeroom, u keen to take over? email me @ darryl.chiew@gmail.com and see if we can work out an arrangement. Cheers.
